I’m glad I’m going on vacation. All of my deals have melted away so I’m glad to be able to flee to the West Coast for a few days.

Big Deal

My deals ran it looks like I’ll be getting 16k before taxes. That’s a nice how do you do. Its the bottom of the market and recession time and I’m making $$$

Homeowner

We saw 5 co-ops on Saturday and put a bid in on the 4th one.  Our bid was lower than the asking price and they took it.  Now we have to lock down the financing and get past the co-op board. Assuming we do all of that I’ll own my first home.

I can’t believe it.  We are on our way.  Of course in my mind its not done until everything is signed and we have the keys.  Right now its still in limbo as far as I’m concerned.

At any rate, I am so glad we stayed on the sidelines while everyone was going wild buying houses.

Anxiety

I’m supposed to hear about a deal today. I’m nervous as all hell. I have a sinking feeling, but I need to get my head back together. I gave my best presentation in a while so we will have to see.

One Deal Gone

A deal I really thought I would get has decided not to come on with us. I’m starting to worry. I’ve reached out to some old prospects because I still think there’s a chance. My first quarter is pretty much set, but I’m still very worried. Such is the vaguery of sales I guess.

Disengaged

My boss called me “disengaged” today because I didn’t know the name of one of my reps.

I’m pissed that he said it and not completely sure if he was joking. I should have known who the guy was, but my focus has really been elsewhere lately. And by elsewhere I mean on other parts of my job, not out the window. I feel more focused here than ever before. I’m going to chalk it up to a bad choice of words but it still burns my ass.

I guess this feeds into my whole “pretender” complex. On some level I think I’m disengaged no matter how much I do.

Big Week

This is a big week for me. I have a huge deal running and should get some positive feedback from two other deals. I could be in a position to close $200-$250k in the first quarter. It just occurred to me that I could close 50% of my yearly number if I get this done. I’d also be able to break the $120k barrier for the year. Its been years, literally, since I’ve done that.

Shoes

I got my shoes resoled yesterday and I’m proud I got it done. Revamped my shoes for only $30.00. Probably saved at least $40.00 on my bottom line and then saved the environment. Actually probably $70.00 less. And I get to keep a pair of good comfortable shoes.

Saturday Morning

Its hot as hell but my best friend is coming over. That’s a good thing. I haven’t seen him in a while and he hasn’t seen his godson in months.

Oh and did I mention Firefox is giving me agita? Ever since I upgraded to 3.01 its been a disaster.
